Student internships are open to students of career colleges, universities, and ESL schools from Canada and around the world.
Students in this program will have the chance to do an unpaid internship in one of literally dozens of different fields. Your internship will be project-based, allowing you to complete a task for school, college, or university requirements. Internships last for as little as 4 weeks and as long as 24 weeks - the exact duration is up to you and your school.

This program costs $1,200 (Canadian) and includes: internship placement, resume re-write, interview preparation, 1 week's initial accommodation in Vancouver, orientation, and ongoing monitoring and support throughout your placement. Here are just some of the fields you can intern in:
Law
Intern with a Vancouver-based law firm. Assist with documentation and office administration support. Placements are available in family law, immigration law, and litigation. This is best suited to pre-law students, students in law clerk or legal assistant courses, or international students with a completed degree in law and some basic knowledge of the common law system.
Finance
Intern in securities at the Vancouver head office of a nation-wide investment firm. Perform financial analysis under the supervision of a senior broker. Assist with client management, and support day to day operations around the office. This is best suited to commerce students, or international students with previous experience in finance or banking.

Marketing
Marketing placements can be within the marketing department of a manufacturer, or at a marketing agency. Daily tasks include performing SWOT analysis for new clients, assisting with the delivery of marketing projects, and presenting your own marketing ideas to senior staff and in some cases managing your own project from concept to delivery. This is suited to any student with a creative streak and an interest in marketing.
Engineering
Depending on your major, this can be in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or construction. Students here will typically work with a manufacturing firm - though civil engineering students will find themselves placed with construction companys. You will assist senior engineers with their projects and perform day to day adminsitrative tasks. This is suited to engineering majors, or international students with a degree in engineering.
Journalism
Journalism internships are done with online media or community print media in metro Vancouver. Assist with fact checking, interviews, and office support. Pitch, and write your own article or articles toward the end of your placement. This is best suited to English majors, or students in their first years of journalism school. International students may also apply, but they must be at an advanced level of written and spoken English.
Psychology
Most psychology placements are with community service organizations, dealing with addiction counselling, or support for the elderly. You will assist senior staff with the delivery of services, you will participate in research and have the opportunity to carrry out your own research project under close supervision. This internship is exclusive to psychology majors.
Accounting
Work at a medium-sized accounting firm or within the accounting department of a manufacturing or services company. Depending on your start date, you could find yourself assisting with yearlies, and quarterlies. Interns are usually under the direct supervision of a chartered accountant. This is suited to accounting, commerce, and business administration majors or international students with an accounting background or MBA.
